Looks like Akshay Kumar fans will have to wait a little longer to see their favourite action star in 3D as Shirish Kunder's sci-fi fantasy adventure Joker, starring Akshay in the lead is no longer a 3D film.
The makers of Joker wanted it to be the first 3D film with a big star, but since Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.Oneand Don 2 were already made in 3D, that USP doesn't hold any longer. The makers also took into account the recent reports of audience response to 3D films in Bollywood and decided to complete the film in regular 2D format. This decision was taken earlier this week.
Joker also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Shreyas Talpade and Minissha Lamba in pivotal roles and will release worldwide on September 14, 2012.
