Bol Bachchan Takes Good Opening The Amazing Spiderman Is Super Hit

Bol Bachchan took a good opening in single screens across India and good to decent start at multiplexes depending on location. The all India opening on day one was around 60-65%. The film has been let down slightly by average/above average business East Punjab, West Bengal, Nizam and Mysore. These circuits have huge potential to grow and if they do Bol Bachchan will do very well on Saturday and Sunday. Rajasthan was the best circuit followed by Gujarat.

Maximum is a poor fare grossing around 2.25 crore nett in week one. FLOP

The Amazing Spiderman shattered all Hollywood film recods in India despite falling collections on the weekdays. The film collected around 41 crore nett in all languages. SUPER HIT

Gangs Of Wasseypur held up week two but with low collections. The second week was around 7 crore nett. The film is not really going anywhere and will end up with a 13 crore distributor share. The film follows the trend of recent times with small films having a huge amount spent on advertising, sometimes like Kahaani the content works and the p&a (print and advertising) outlay becomes justified but likes of Gangs Of Wasseypur manage a distributor share just a few crore higher than its p&a outlay so these extra costs become a burden for the film. BELOW AVERAGE

Teri Meri Kahaani had a dull second week collecting 4.25 crore nett and taking its two week total to 26.25 crore nett. FLOP

Rowdy Rathore hit the 130 crore nett mark in five weeks. The film may become the biggest earner ever in Rajasthan. BLOCKBUSTER
