Rakhtbeej 2012 Movie Review

I walked in with utter dread into the movie hall screening this film. But nothing prepard me for what lay ahead. I had thought that films like these were laid to rest in the 90s or atleast never made it out of the B & C centres. Rakhtbeej should be commended for escaping all that but that's about the only praise I can lavish on it.
A confusing storyline and a redundant
screenplay replete with dialogues that make you want to tear your hair out, Rakhtbeej is a true test of your patience. Add to that a cast of bad actors (baring Tinu Anand) and a director who learned filmmaking from Shakti Samant and you have what one calls a thoroughbred Bhojuri film. Rakhi Sawant's item song provides some much needed breathing space but that too barely compensates for what one has endured.

The only explanation why this film made it to the theatres could be the desperate attempt to whitewash excess black money. Skip this one at all costs. You might never be the same again. 1 star
