Pooja Bhatt to make Jism 3 in 3D

Her film Jism 2 starring adult star Sunny Leone is yet a few days away from release but Pooja Bhatt is already busy thinking about Jism 3 and that too with ambitious plans of making it in 3D.

Apparently Pooja already has the script of Jism 3 in place and is tight-lipped about the cast as of now. However she is certain that it will be bigger, bolder and better than ever before. The film will go on floors sometime next year.

Jism 2 meanwhile starring Sunny Leone along with Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh is slated to release on August 3.

Satyamev Jayate Episode12 Review: Aamir Khan pledges to respect each drop of water

The second last episode of Aamir Khan’s popular show Satyamev Jayate chose to deal with the issue of water existing in India. In spite of being called water adequate country, the ‘aam janta’ of India, be it rural or urban, faces trouble to survive.

With interesting facts and figures, Aamir claimed that there can be a day where water will be as expensive as petrol. 

Known for the immense research, Satyamev Jayate lived up to its expectations even this time. The experience became gripping as Aamir revealed that even though 75 percent of earth is water, only 3 percent of water is useful out of which only 30 percent can be used for 700 crore humans and also animals.

The presence of farmers, architecture students made the entire chat show look real and true to life.

It was shocking, as Aamir revealed that there are rural parts of our country which witness deaths in sheer effort to get water to drink. Also, what grabbed attention was how people suffer in their own areas and need to walk for kilometers to fetch water every day.

The participation of various people, who have done their bit for their society when it comes to saving water, added the required emotional punch to the episode.

As the show proceeded, the interesting concept of rain water harvesting and its implementation in cities and villages gained momentum. The guests on the show claimed how the effort has made their life easy.

The host also emphasised on the importance of healthy water. Aamir also suggested solutions and precautionary measures towards quality drinking water.

A guest from Mumbai showcased that how rain water harvesting has provided a better lifestyle for people in a city like Mumbai. The method doesn’t just assure water, but better quality too. 

Aamir’s interaction with IPS officer Santha Sheela Nair helped draw light to how things changed in a city when the municipal and political support helped implement rain water harvesting.

The seriousness behind the issue and the magnitude at which it needs to be addressed is something the show explored. As the show came to its end, Aamir appealed to all his viewers to take an oath to respect each drop of water.  And, before signing off, he left the audience with an interesting question. Will you make an effort to rain water harvest?

Satyamev Jayate - E11 Old Age - Sunset Years, Sunshine Life Review

After touching a series of important issues, eleventh episode of Aamir Khan’s popular TV show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ pointed its anger towards the problems of senior citizens. The actor-producer talked about the fears attached to old age and the difficult survival of elderly members of the society.

Aging parents and their plights are not new; the society has been witnessing these things since long, however a significant development has taken place in last couple of decades. Arrival of the concept of old age homes has made children shy away from their responsibilities without experiencing the moral crisis, but the question is still the same. Can any shelter be a substitute of home?

Conventional Indian society has not accepted the western concept of ‘on your own’ yet. In middle class scenario, higher education still commands more respect than working right after the graduation. A child needs the most sincere support during that period which a parent tries his or her best to provide, but the problems start after the education is over. One finds it difficult to strike a balance between the professional and personal lives, without realising that when they are going places, their parents are getting old.

The typical Indian mindset is also responsible for it to some extent. The theory of ‘Kamaata bachchon ke liye hi toh hoon’ (I earn for my children only) causes a lot of problems. The children feel that they have absolute and justified right on their parents’ wealth and the atrocities start when they don’t get it normally.

One guest on the show Himanshu Rath went to the roots of the issue, he asked parents to share their happiness but not their wealth with children in very clear terms. This may sound awkward to many, but this can prevent the problem from spreading.

Senior citizens also need to show some courage like forming more dada-dadi parks and finding a partner. The marriage of Marathi Mr Joshi to a Malayalam woman should be seen as an ideal example to follow. What’s the point of spending the life without any thing to cheer about?

If Chandro can device her own methods to beat resourceful opponents at such an age, then others can too. Her mantra of ‘Mooh me Ram, haath me kaam’ is simple and fruitful.

It’s difficult to find ‘Thalaikoothal’ in today’s society but it certainly exists in different forms. Haven’t we heard of parents’ murder for a compensatory job?

Activists couldn’t be expected to come up with solutions of this problem as this is directly related to a family’s inside condition. Sympathy alone wouldn’t solve it, children should understand the social system first, and then they need to find out a way through which the aging parents can contribute and fit into that system.

Brave 3D 2012: Movie Review

Pixars latest animated effort rises above the mediocrity of 

Cars 2 but falls short of much of the  animation juggernauts 

past efforts. Brave is a movie that contains potential for 

greatness but  only manages to achieve it on the technical 

front. 

The script meanders in the wilderness for  much of its middle 

portion leading to a rushed and somewhat a brupt ending that 

tries really  hard to forge an emotional  connect. Alas the 

setup is sketchy and that renders the  ending less  than 

effective.

In a far away Scottish kingdom, the feisty red-haired princess 

Merida dreams of nothing more  than wielding her bow and 

arrow, scaling high cliffs, riding through the wilderness and  being carefree. Her mother 

however has different plans for  her and wants her to get married off in a  lady-like fashion. A 

series of mystical events leads Merida to the hut of a witch who grants her a  spell. 

Merida wishes for her mother to change and thus leading to Meridas fate changing. 

Things dont go as per plan and Meridas mom does change but quite literally into a bear and 

with the clans enmity with the species, things look bleak for her. Merida has to now set things 

right but theres also the bit about her fate and destiny which involves squaring off against large 

fearsome bear of more myth and legend.

The animation is astounding and so is the voice work and accents. The humour also works 

though much of it tends to get too slapstick at times. I understand the emotional resonance its 

themes want to have but they are poorly built and established thus leading to a plot that feels 

unsatisfying; a middle portion that drags doesnt help the movie either.

Brave is a worthy watch but dont expect the sky from this one and youll be satisfied. Oh and do 

watch out for the triplets, they are a blast.

Rock of Ages 2012 : Movie Review

This is a film adaptation of the smash hit Broadway musical `Rock of Ages`. This is the story of small town girl Sherrie and city boy Drew, who meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams. Tom Cruise emerges from a sea of half naked female bodies wearing a cod piece and butt-less leather pants. Obviously piss drunk, he blabbers on only to reinforce his rockstar status. What better way to personify the rockstars of the 80’s?

What “Rock of Ages” offers is full volume nostalgia with its interpretation of the classics of the 80’s rock sensations as well as the lifestyle of that era. “This place is about to become a sea of sweat, earth shattering music and puke”, says Alec Baldwin in one of his yet again must-see performances.

So if you’re a rock fanatic or a crazy Tom Cruise fan, it’s an absolute must watch. If you love musicals and love stories, it’s a must watch. If you’re a fan of none of the above, it’s still a must watch.

 A brilliant 123 minute adaptation of the highly acclaimed Broadway musical of the same name- it simply “makes you wanna rock”.

Shanghai 2012 Movie: Review

Whether it be Khosla ka Ghosla, Oye lucky lucky Oye or 

Love Sex aur Dhoka, director Dibakar Banerjee has wowed 

us with his ability to tell stories with his unique yet engaging 

style. 

This time, he comes with a political thriller which has been 

much awaited. Does it match up to our expectations?

A valiant & hard hitting effort this one, its a well made film

 backed by exemplary performances but just falls short   

somewhere.

Set in small-town India, the local government wants to  

redevelop the area under a project titled IBP (International 

Business Park). An esteemed social activist (Prosenjit 

Chatterjee) is protesting for the rights the locals but is mowed down by the political party in 

question. What the next 115 minutes deals with is Shalini Sahays(Kalki K) fight for justice. A 

student of his, she seeks the help of local videographer/porn filmmaker Joginder(Emraan 

Hashmi) & restrained yet no-nonsense IAS officer TA Krishnan(Abhay Deol) to book those at

 fault.While its true that scores of Bollywood films have tackled corruption in the system, none 

have done so in a completely deglamorized avatar. The beauty of the film lies in the simplicity 

of the storytelling which is engaging yet very real.

The music by Vishal & Shekhar is strictly ok but the background score by Mikey McLeary is 

absolutely fantastic.

When it comes to performances, all of them shine. The star of this show, pitching in with a

 stellar effort is Emraan Hashmi. He truly shows his growth as an actor. Kalki too is fiery in her 

disturbing role & one particular scene where she beats up a truck driver is one of the best in 

the film. Abhay stays in character and comes into his own in the last 20 minutes of the film.

While it has plenty of plus points, it doesnt manage to land the knockout punch as parts of the

 film do drop. There is a lot that happens in these 2 hours and sometimes you just need it to

 slowdown to build the moments.

Nevertheless, Dibakar Banerjee shines yet again as he crafts a film thats haunting in a strange 

way. I would surely recommend all to watch this once & share your views on it. Not filmi, only 

real, Shanghai is surely one of the better films around.

Satyamev Jayate Review: Love marriage is not a crime

Here is the Review of Amir khan's Satyamev Jayate fifth episoode Review featuring  topic Love marriage is not a crime.

A Muslim girl and a Hindu boy fall in love very much against their families’ acceptance. The two, in order to make their love win, run away from the forced societal pressure but in the end succumb to the wrath of their shrewd parents. Well, the story may sound like some Bollywood drama unfolding on the silver screen. But, alas it is no fiction but the brutal reality. And, this time around Aamir Khan decided to unfold the subject of ‘honour killings’ on his show ‘Satyamev Jayate’.

And, what makes this episode different is the way Aamir deals with the subject. A certain sense of realism could be felt as the victims or their families narrate their plight which was sort of missing in the previous episodes.

Films like 'Khap' and 'Aakrosh' although failed to create a stir at the box-office due to loose script but shows like Crime Patrol on small screen had an impact with marvelous scripting. So, how different is the subject dealt in Satyameva Jayate!

Aamir emerges winner as he brings forth every aspect with detailed study. It’s a treat to watch how diligently he tackles with rigid ‘khaps’. The most striking part is the fact that the actor leaves an impact on the audience without being preachy.  

In fact, Aamir puts the ball in the court of concerned person who very beautifully counter attack in the debate. Again, Aamir does make you think a lot about the issue even minutes after the show ends.

Sona Mahapatra ends the show on a beautiful note with song written by Ram Sampath. She croons the lyrics which beautifully strike a chord.

Snow White and the Huntsman 2012 Movie Review

Is it right to tamper with tales we have 

actuallygrown up on? Yes. It's okay to 

experiment with fairy tales as long as 

it's gripping, racy and, if need be, deadly.

 And the level of experimenting could 

range from anything between twists and

 turns in the storyline to making the evil

 Queen lookmuch more conniving... 

much more dangerous... much more 

larger than life. Believe itor not, the evil 

Ravenna here overshadows Snow White 

in every sense of the word. Talk of the

 character and Queen Ravenna comes

 across as the epitome of the woman who

 wants everything - money, fame, kingdom

, beauty forever and immortality - at the

 cost of anything. Talk of the actor and

 Charlize Theron leaves no stone

 unturned when it comes to executing that power, passion and utmost greed.

 She is sometimesseen doing what she ought to do with watery, fiery eyes, 

sometimes with powerful speeches and monologues... and sometimes with 

the help of special effects.

 The very first shot and you know Snow White and  the Huntsman is going

 to be a jolly good visual treat, often brought out through  contrasts.

 There are three stunningly red drops of blood in the white, snow 

covered landscape right in the beginning; the end has the same three drops

 of blood against the backdrop of the stony castle. And in between lies the 

chase through the forbidding Dark Forest full of black shadows, ugly creatures,

 hissing snakes, followed by the seven dwarfs and their magical Fairy Land full 

of colourful butterflies, sparkling streams and birds singing here and there.

 In fact, there are times you are left wondering how this would look in 3D, 

specially when the chase and battles get more gloomy with horses, the Black 

Army, swords and shields.

Finally, it is the sharp contrast to Julia Roberts' recently released Mirror Mirror

 that  works in favour of this one. If that was funny, crazy and not-so-serious,

 this one is dark and vicious. However, it's the length of the movie that seems

 a way too long. But then all is justified when first time director, Rupert Sanders,

 gets back to the tried and tested fairly tale formula (of the happily-ever-

after kiss) right in time.

 And all logic be damned... for  there are two men -

 The Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) and Prince William ( Sam Claflin) -- 

 trying to woo the Princess. Wonder who gets to kiss Ms. White?

For now, over to Snow White, her (fairy) tale, the thumping background

 score, the visual treat, the fact that you know it (the story, we mean) all... 

and of course, Queen Ravenna....

Tip off: Watch it (for you will like it) only if you are ready to undo the spell that

 has been cast on you since time immemorial. Don't ask 'Who's the fairest 

of them all?'. Ask 'Who's the darkest of them all?' Definitely, Snow White

 and the Huntsman.

Rowdy Rathore 2012 Movie Review

It's well known that dancing star-turned-director Prabhu Dheva transported the popular South-styled stunts and Southern zest back in Bollywood with WANTED. Above and beyond attaining huge box-office records and giving Salman Khan's career the much-desired triumph, the motion picture ignited a trend of recreating movies from South in Bollywood.

ROWDY RATHORE, a remake of the Telugu smash hit VIKRAMARKUDU [2006], marks the return of Akshay Kumar in the action genre after a hiatus. Directed by the supremely talented and super-successful S.S. Rajamouli and starring Ravi Teja, the movie was a gigantic victory at the turnstiles.

Let's rewind history. Shall we! It's been a decade since the Men in Black (MIB) put on their suits for the last time ever: first in 1997 and then in 2002.  So it won't really be a bad idea to brush up a little on why we liked (and missed) the secret society of protectors. Well, the MIB gave us good comedy, great special effects, inspiring performances, and ample action. Welcome to Circa 2012 and nothing much seems to have changed. 
There's Agent J (Will Smith) who still gives us rib-tickling moments with his one liners. In his own words: 'Men for me are 'K'; women for me are 'O'. I refer to couples as 'OK'!' There's the grumpy, agent-of-hardly-any-words, K (Tommy Lee Jones), and tales of his heroic deeds and achievements that have been saving planet Earth. And above all, there are aliens, once again seen as our next-door friendly refugees who are still using New York as their hideout from mean intergalactic creatures.

Arjun: The Warrior Prince 2012: Movie Review

Thank God! This is one swayamvar that rightly doesn't have the scandal, sleaze and controversy that ups channel TRPs. And we love our Gods for this very reason; even the powers that be turns into colour-coordinated animated stars for our delight. This one is the original; the rest is a mish-mashed concoction of unimaginative minds. Hey bhagwan!

The epic story comes stunningly alive on the canvas of Panchala, where Arjun participates in Draupadi's swayamvar, and quite breathtakingly spears the fish's eye with his dhanush. This scene is spectacular and sets the mood for the film, even makes you hopeful about India's animation industry, struggling to grab attention. The almost 3D-like dive, an underwater sequence and the detailing - superbly impressive.

ham, jham, jhambhura! Now we know why our tweeny lot always maange more of Chhota Bheem. After all, our hero can do anything and everything that every Bollywood mainstream hero does. Chhota Bheem can save the girls from being kidnapped. Chhota Bheem can fight a dozen of bad guys at the same time. Chhota Bheem can fight tigers and snakes. And, most importantly, Chhota Bheem knows how to be in sync with the time - he can play (and win) the T20 cricket tournament in town. Not to miss out is his looks: Chhota Bheem is a hit with girls in his kingdom(He looks rather cute), and has a couple of pretty things hitting on him! 

Now for the movie. Talk of animation and it's bright and colourful, though not really sharp.

Who said sex has anything to do with anti-wrinkle creams? Uplifts or artificial 'jobs'? Madonna was pregnant at 42. Charlie Chaplin fathered a child at 73. Even our pleasantly plump Annie Monterio (Shernaz Patel) gets a 'little' pregnant at forty-six. After years of prayers, and divine intervention (actually the missionary position) she is blessed with her 'labour of love', a second child; the first is an adopted teenager, Ruth, who wonders why her parents didn't use a condom in the first place.

I walked in with utter dread into the movie hall screening this film. But nothing prepard me for what lay ahead. I had thought that films like these were laid to rest in the 90s or atleast never made it out of the B & C centres. Rakhtbeej should be commended for escaping all that but that's about the only praise I can lavish on it.
